My Little Prince...

I'm not in the habit of calling O my little prince, but I have to say that this is the first thing that popped into my head as I was viewing this photo...He had my sweater on and was very busily walking around...I quickly grabbed my camera and this is what I shot. I actually like it quite a bit and it reminds me of the cover of The Little Prince...if only I had a snake that swallowed an elephant laying around!

Last night we went back to Aitachi's and Grandma Jeri's to celebrate 3 November birthdays! I didn't manage many pictures of O...I'm finding it difficult to photograph him as he is CONSTANTLY on the move...very, very busy...

But, even with it's blurriness, I found this photo very endearing. His little hand on Joe's leg...keeping close by.

O's 2nd Thanksgiving!!!

O had a great time at Aitachi's and Grandma Jeri's for his 2nd Thanksging! He was a little hesitant when Aitachi circled near...but I am happy to report, that by then end of the night, O and Aitachi were laughing together at the dinner table! Yey! O! Yey! Aitachi!

Uncle Michael...

Uncle Mike made a surprise visit to Seattle for work, and stopped by to see us and O especially for a few hours...O was cautious but eventually figured out that Michael was harmless...

My Little Buddy...

Don't Touch "DIS?"...

What can I say about my son these days??? That he is in constant danger of being eaten by his mother??? Yes...that would be an accurate statement.

It is so lovely to watch O grow. He is signing more and more every day...some signs, like "car" come with sound effects...in this case, "vroooooooooooooooom" as he holds and turns an imaginary steering wheel...

Sometimes I don't "get" that even though he can't communicate as well with words, his understanding is enormous, and in a way, silent. Yesterday I was cleaning up the play room and O was right there next to me...I had all the books put away, except one, by the window at the other side of the room. I asked O if he could bring me the book "over there" (please)...and he put his little hands up and carefully turned 180 degrees and began waddling his way over to the book, which he carried over and handed to me, all the while saying, "EHHH?", (his favorite word for pretty much everything!)...

So I ate him.

Little Boy...

I took this picture of O this past weekend on a little walk the three of us went on. It was a beautiful Fall morning...crisp, clear and colorful!
O is walking like a champ...he is fearless! I'm coping well with it...;-)
Yesterday I took O to lunch, we sat side by side at this cute little Mexican Restaurant...We shared some tacos and a flan for dessert! YUM! He was flirting shamelessly with two girls at the next table...Oy! Then we went to Anne's (Julia and Carter's) house for a visit...It was just lovely to see Carter and Anne, (Julia was napping!)...Anne and I chatted and O explored all those cool toys! Gotta love that mop!
After our visit, we went to Dad and Jeri's for the night. Lynn stopped by and played with O for a bit and Grandma Jeri made a fabulous dinner, after doing some creative childproofing with rubberbands! Yey Grandma!
We slept great...I imagined that we were on a trip in Europe...at a Bed&Breakfast...that room is so lovely! Grandma always makes things beautiful!
We are back home now...the floors look great, so we are done! (With them! ha!)

Penny's House o' Fun!

Due to our floors being refinished and the fact the chemicals they put on the hardwoods is toxic enough to burn the hairs off ears, we camped...OK, basically "moved-in" to Suzanne and Byron's casa for almost a week!!!...(And they are STILL speaking to us!!!)...So it was great...Owen and Penny played lots...ate lots...signed lots...cried lots....laughed lots...and yes, pooped lots...(THANKS SUZ!!!)...(Private joke, don't even try to figure it out...)

So here are some flicks which I stole from Suzanne...so there.

Nugget!!!

Penny and Suzanne came over the other day with Penny's lunch, which consisted of McDonald's Chicken Nuggets. Penny offered O half of one, and he loved it...he carried it around for about 2 hours, while chewing on it for an additional 3!

Yesterday O and spent some time outside playing in Pookie's garden. He can stand from a sitting/squatting position, which is what he did in the above picture...He is such a trooper...he falls a lot after a couple of steps, but always seems to pick himself back up and try again...

In honor of your birthday you walked all day!!! A few steps here...a few steps there! You had a big proud smile on your face...what a great accomplishment! We love you!

Morning Walk

This morning we went for a little walk after breakfast...it was foggy and gorgeous out...here are some pics of the piglet!

First Steps...

The other day I was sitting on a stool in the kitchen as O was playing with his new toy Suzanne gave to him, when he crawled over to my stool and stood up. I just happen to have my camera, when suddenly, he let go of the stool legs and walked over to the toy. He didn't completely make the trek on two feet but it was REALLY exciting...he has taken a step here and there, but mostly with letting go to grab another sturdy object to steady him...This time, he just launched off!!!

In the excitement, I had my camera aiming, but the focus wasn't responding and this is the only action shot I got!!! I am at least happy I had the camera at all!!!!

A Little About O

O is my favorite person...He is goofy, funny, sweet natured, yummy, inquisitive, mischievous, pensive, and round. He is a complete trooper when it comes to hanging out with Joe and I so we can work on the house and pack...it's like he knows we are working hard and he helps us by playing and just being happy...

One of my favorite times with O these days is still when I lay with him while I put him to sleep...his squeaks, grunts, breath, toes, face...I just love snuggling with him and the happiness I feel from gazing at him sleeping is enormous...Isn't that great?

O...you are such a joy...you are saying "issss" for kiss, you say "mama" and on occasion, look at me...you are signing: plane, more, bye-bye. You clap when I say, "Viva, viva!"...You climb all over your parents when you wake up in the morning and you are constantly biting your tongue!!!
