Rain, Rain....

O was delighted when we walked outside and it had just begun to rain...I of course, didn't share in this delight, as I immediately envisioned a sopping wet toddler...cold, wet clothes, cold, wet clothes...cold...BUT, the thought of taking him right back inside was not much of an option either, as it took me 17 minutes to get his shoes and sweater on...plus, lately, when O is not happy with the plan, he let's his parents know quite clearly! So I had a brilliant idea...get the umbrella!
O loved it...as soon as I walked out with it, he pointed and said, "Dis?"...as he opened and closed his little hand to gesture, GIVE IT TO ME NOW!...So I did...and he walked around the garden happy as clam! We stayed outside, we stayed relatively dry, not cold nor wet...just content!

Penny and O!

Penny and Suzanne came over yesterday for a visit...O and P played lots, and loved hanging out in the changing table shelf! At least it's getting some use! YEY!

Future Artist or Really Disgusting New Habit???

O has recently taken to writing EVERYWHERE with his saliva. He will stick 2 or 3 fingers in his mouth and then proceed to scribble...walls, window, my face...it's all one big canvas.

I vote for future artist and a really quick phase of this medium.

Bleh.

Field Trip!

Today Joe flew into Boeing Field, so O, Tiger, Mousey and I all drove into Seattle to see him. Joe had scored a couple of passes to the Flight Museum, so we headed over there! What a fantastic place...Joe and I both want to go back without O....(is that mean?)

O loved the planes and the helicopter especially...they have a "Kids Zone" that is fantastic. I'd write more, but he's climbing onto the kitchen counter...apparently climbing on the planes wasn't enough. Egad.

Hairy Situation...

I think I have to face possibly cutting O's hair...Here would be a good place to name various hair cuts and have a vote...but alas, I'm just too tired to even manage this post...so there.

Mousey...

This is Mousey.

This is Mousey going down the slide.

Mousey goes everywhere with us...downstairs when we wake up, (where he is almost immediately dropped and left abandoned till later, when O either realizes that Mousey is not 1.2 inches from him, or we decide to go out)...to the grocery store...or Post Office...(I am letting you see a glimpse of our exciting outings...)...and of course, when we go to sleep.

Mousey has held up pretty well I must say...He's been thrown in the washing machine on occasion and even has withstood the bacteria killing temperature of the dryer...He is a solid member of the family!

I know to some it may seem like a pain to drag a stuffed animal everywhere...but I finding it endearing...it gives me comfort knowing that he's current needs are met by a little stinky, blue, fuzzy little mouse...how could I ever compete with that?

Mousey, thank you for always being there for us!
