The Sun...The Sun...

The weather has been so, so beautiful the past few days...we decided to head out to Fish Lake and check it out. It was really snowy out there, and it made for a challenging walk...(We only walked about 100 feet before we turned around!)...the snow was compacted and ICY! We could barely walk! It was a nice little outing though, and O enjoyed the time outside looking for deer and wild peacocks!

We Got Mooned!

O and I laid on the landing and watched the lunar eclipse for about an hour...he kept noting the color changes...and pointed out the nearby stars...It was a really wonderful moment, and all that was missing was Joe...

Baking with Aunt Gigi...

A couple of weeks ago, Gigi came for the weekend for a visit. We had a really great time and appreciate her trip out here! O loves her and when we sometimes walk by the guest room, he will point out that it's "Aunt Gigi's room"...

Of course, being the great baker that she is, she had an afternoon of cookie baking with O...(while I drank wine...which affected my picture taking skills...that's why you only see the above photo here....)...He had a blast...and even brought out his own set of baking instruments, (play-doh!)...and helped!

I don't have any pictures of the finished product as there weren't any left by the time I came up with the bright idea of photographing them...

My Little Guy...

O and I spent hours playing this morning...(nothing new there...ha!)...but THIS morning he was especially cute and adorable...

He was extra gentle with Pookie, UNTIL he pulled her tail and made her squeal!...He looked at me and said, "Mama upset?"..."Yes", I replied, "Mama is upset. Mama loves Pookie very much and gets sad when Pookie is hurt"...so he then looks at me and says, "Owen loves Pookie a lot...don't be upset Mama!"...How am I ever going to instill any discipline on this child when he makes comments like that...which make me laugh...which must not communicate to Owen the seriousness of the matter at hand! WE DO NOT PULL POOKIE'S TAIL...EVER!

This parenting thing is hard...but oh so fun!
